About the facility:
In the Beginning is a beautiful facility available for outdoor weddings and receptions for up to 350 guests. The neatly manicured grounds are surrounded with pine trees, poplars, and maple trees. The 20x24 stucco pavilion serves as the perfect dance floor or wedding stage. It is also appointed with beautiful flower gardens, a picturesque pond and a waterfall. It is a unique setting, brimming with photo opportunities. In the Beginning is ideal for anniversary parties as well as photo opportunities for graduation and family style portraits.
In addition, we offer a private courtyard as a retreat for the bride and groom. We offer a spacious and romantic dressing room for the bride and bridesmaids to dress. 'In the Beginning' offers two beautiful tiled bathrooms to accomidate our guests.
The look and feel of In the Beginning should be viewed and appreciated in person. We are an outdoor facility and as such, the look of the facility changes with the season. June thru September is the perfect time to view the facility in person. If that is not available, take a look through our photo gallery in this site. In the Beginning is the Tri-Cities preferred outdoor wedding site. It is a private facility adjacent to the home of Jeff and Patti Thompson, owners. The owners are longtime residents of the Tri-Cities with strong business and family ties to the Community. It is their belief that all that they have is from the Lord and He has led them to this place. It is their desire to show honor and give God the glory in every event.
The first event was a wedding, held in June of 2005. The facility features are growing each year.
